Health Talk: Cervical Cancer

Thursday, November 29 2018, at Office 8 Building SCBD, Jl. Gen. Sudirman, EMC Sentul Hospital in collaboration with Hasnur Group held Health Talk activities with employee participants.

According to Dr. Purindri Maharani (@uwimaharani), cervical cancer is caused by the HPV virus. The highest risks include those who have sexual activity too early, often change partners, and actively smoke. The speaker who is also the head of the EMC Sentul Hospital emergency room said that the risk of cervical cancer can actually be avoided by maintaining a healthy lifestyle and of course by administering vaccines. At the end of the activity, EMC Hospital provided blood pressure check services for all participants.

It is hoped that after this Health Talk activity, participants will become aware that cervical cancer is dangerous, as well as provide education on the importance of regularly going to the doctor so they can avoid the possibility of developing a similar disease.

EMC Sentul Hospital is always open to holding Health Talks, Seminars, or Social Service activities by collaborating with companies or communities. For more information on how your company or community can hold similar activities, please contact (Dharani 0896.2809.2808).
