Sacroiliac (si) joint arthropathy

There are many terms used to describe problems in the sacroiliac (SI) joint, including inflammation of the sacroiliac joint or dysfunction of the sacroiliac syndrome . Problems that often trigger problems in this part of the joint include the erosion of the cartilage between the two bones and in women it can also occur due to loosening of the ligament due to hormonal changes during pregnancy.

Symptoms that are generally found in patients who experience this problem are pain in the lower back or around the pelvis. Patients often complain of low back pain. Physical examination and supporting examinations such as X-rays (X-rays), CT Scans (Imaging with Computerized Tomography) or MRI (Imaging with Magnetic Resonance Imaging) in the pelvic area (if needed), will help establish the diagnosis of this case of inflammation of the sacroiliac joint.

Injection of drugs with the guidance of a C-arm (movable X-ray device) is a very effective pain therapy to overcome this problem. In general, patients can be immediately relieved of their pain complaints, which may have been felt for months and some even have been for years.
