PSLD ( Percutaneous Stenoscopic Lumbar Discectomy ) is the latest minimal surgery technique for the spine after PELD. The PSLD technique is safer for the nerve root, because the scope can be brought as close to the painful area as possible. The surgical technique is the same as that of open surgery, but with minimal incisions. Another advantage is the shorter hospital stay.
