Degenerative disc herniation is a condition when the intervertebral disc loses its flexibility and ability to absorb shock, along with aging. Common symptoms of degenerative disc disease include neck pain, pain radiating behind the shoulder or into the arm, numbness and prickling, and sometimes difficulty moving the arm or walking. This condition occurs because when you experience aging, the outermost layer of the disc , called the annulus fibrosus , becomes brittle and easily torn. In addition, the central part of the disc ( nucleus pulposus) , began to dry and wrinkled.
