Anterior Cervical Discectomy and Fusion (ACDF) is a type of neck surgery that involves removing a damaged disc to relieve spinal pressure or nerve root pressure and reduce pain, weakness, numbness, and tingling. Discectomy is a form of surgical decompression so this procedure may also be referred to as anterior cervical decompression. Usually the patient can go home the same day.
